TideLines, 2023
Boston, Airport, Delta Sky Club, BOS-E,
Architect: Luis Vidal

TideLines is a site-specific art installation for Delta’s BOS-E Sky Club. The composition of large circles and squares is visually connected with an overlapping pattern of circular arcs. The polychrome shapes are constructed from perforated brass and aluminum. The metal sheets are cut into intricate geometric and organic patterns and is either hand-painted or acid-etched with complex patterning. The layers are stacked together, creating an oscillating effect through juxtapositions of shapes and color combinations. The floating works gains further depth as they cast complicated shadows on the supporting wall.
